Beautiful Valentines White Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods deliver sweet and salty deliciousness in a pretty little blinged-out package. And they're so easy to make! What more could you ask for?
One of my absolute, absolute favorite flavors is the combination of salty and sweet. And one of my absolute favorite ways to deliver that wonderful salty/sweet combination to my taste buds is with chocolate covered pretzels. Or yogurt covered pretzels. Or white chocolate covered pretzels. Okay, or pretty much anything sweet-covered pretzels.
And it's an added bonus when those sweet-covered pretzels are stunningly beautiful, like these pink-studded Valentine White Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels.
Okay, so maybe stunningly beautiful is a tad bit of an overstatement. But they are really, really pretty. Don't you think?
And just perfect for a little Valentines sweet treat.
The beautiful pink glittery-ness of these pretty little pretzels was inspired by Cupid's Cheesecake popcorn ...

Like this delicious Cupid's Cheesecake popcorn, for example ... white chocolate cheesecake popcorn all blinged out with a gorgeous sprinkling of pink sugar glitter. So pretty. {and delicious! ... it may just be my new favorite flavor.}
I just couldn't resist turning the pretty glittery-ness into a Valentine treat of my own.
So I grabbed some pretzel rods, white chocolate, and my sprinkles collection and started dipping away. Some of the pretzels I gave a little extra Valentine-themed sprinkle bling ...
I think both ways turned out really pretty! Though, I must admit, I'm partial to the simplicity of the just-white-and-pink ones. Sometimes just a teeny touch of bling is best!
These pretzels are super simple to make, too. So if you're looking for a quick-to-make Valentines treat, these pretzels are right up your alley.
Pretty. Simple. Easy. Delicious. Salty and sweet. What more could you ask for, right? I'd be thrilled if my Valentine gave me a big ol' bag full!

Valentines White Chocolate-Dipped Pretzel Rods
- 1 (10 oz.) bag pretzel rods
- 1 (24 oz.) package white chocolate bark coating or 1 (1 lb.) bag white candy melts (you'll only use about 12 oz.)
- 1 T. shortening
- pink sanding sugar
- white nonpareils sprinkles
- Valentines-themed sprinkles (optional)
- In a tall skinny container (such as a pottery cup or even a small glass vase), melt bark coating or candy melts and shortening together in the microwave per package directions (typically in 30 second intervals, stirring in between).
- Dip each pretzel rod in the candy coating, letting excess coating drip off back into the container. Sprinkle with white nonpareils and sanding sugar. Sprinkle with other Valentine-themes sprinkles, if desired.
- Place on waxed paper and let stand for coating to set up.
- Store in an airtight container for up to two or three weeks.
I pour the leftover white chocolate coating into a plastic storage container and save it for another use later. All you have to do is heat it back up in the microwave when you need it, omitting the shortening (since it's already in there).
Enjoy!
